“Goemon” is based on the life of Ishikawa Goemon a legendary 16th century ninja warrior and bandit who stole valuables and gave them to the poor. There is little historical information on Goemon’s life, and thus he has become a folk hero, whose background and origins have been widely speculated upon.

    Kazuaki Kiriya also directed Casshern. I didn’t like the movie but the picture was beautiful so i’ll take a peek at this one.

    Very nice movie, full action and elegant japanese manga style. The only thing that seems curious to me were the special effects… they were quite good but it just didn’t seem real, sometimes it looked like a video game, I guess it was the intention of the producer.

    Highly recommended!
